Candeo Hotels Matsuyama Okaido

This was my third trip to Japan, and I can say without a doubt that Candeo Hotels Matsuyama Okaido is the best hotel I have ever stayed at in this country. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away. The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, and I was so relieved that they spoke excellent English, which made check-in and asking for recommendations a breeze. Every interaction was a pleasure. The real highlights for me were the amenities. The spa is absolutely amazing – so relaxing and luxurious, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring Matsuyama. Waking up to the beautiful views from my room was incredible, and the breakfast spread was equally amazing. There was such a wide variety of delicious options, and it was the best start to my day. It was very light. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It truly made my trip special, and I will absolutely be staying here again on my next visit to Japan. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful experience!

On my first trip to Japan in 2024 we stayed in a Candeo hotel and loved it. We thought we would stay in another Candeo hotel again it was just fantastic.The central location, the sky bath, the room facilities and size were such good value for money. My husband is fluent in Japanese and I speak a little, but the hotel concierge was so nice and spoke such excellent English we didn't need our language skills! First time in Matsuyama, such a lovely city. We will return in 2026 and stay here again!

I liked everything about this hotel. Clean, great location, easy to get to, view of the castle, staff that went out of their way to assist in booking restaurants, gave information on the area. Was all up a fantastic experience. Recommend to anyone travelling to this area.

We stayed 2 nights over New Year's in this really nice and modern hotel. The facilities are excellent, with a nice view from our room as well. The staff was very helpful, although they did not speak a lot of English. The onsen is open throughout the night and the breakfast was really nice, with both Japanese and Western options.

Fantastic hotel. Excellent 13th floor spa (indoor baths, outdoor bath, sauna), which was clean and had long opening hours. Great location around Okaido (Central Matsuyama) - many restaurants and shops nearby, easy to get to the castle cable car (by foot) and Dogo Onsen (by tram). Good range of food and drink for breakfast in the restaurant, which had nice views of Matsuyama Castle. Very kind and helpful staff who always helped with our questions. Bed and sofa were very comfortable.
